Introduction

Every boat owner has gone through the process of finding and buying that "perfect boat". For most, boat shows and magazines provide plenty of vessels from which to choose. With all these boats out there, why would someone go through the time and expense of building a new boat? For anyone that has built a boat themselves, has thought about building a boat, or is just plain interested in how the Karen Ann II came to be, this is her story (authored in Spring '03).
